You never really know what might be right in your backyard. Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek Park was a pleasant ride with a cycling buddy. Mild 70’s weather, lots of greenery, and a little history for those that like to look in the past. We got the clickity clack of wooden bridges, plenty of paved trails and gravel paths next time for the mountain bike. It was an easy 22 miles as we talked the whole ride. In a few months I expect the kayakers to spot the river with a porting location right near the parking area and miles of easy river paddling ahead of them. A milestone 4,000 miles is a breath away in 49 miles while gaining seat conditioning for the upcoming 68 miler.
