Vacation time was showing up on the calendar and a great opportunity to get in a bike ride in another country.  First, I needed to relax the legs on the nearest palm tree on Roatan Island, Honduras.  My toes just soaked up all that sunshine, salt spray, while getting ready for the planned ride along the coast of Costa Maya. On the way back to the ship I ventured off the beaten path and came across the three legendary zombies overlooking the beach.  Hmmm, there is a rope holding them all together as if they were predicting my need to remain secure in my ventures.  The bike ride day arrived, and the angry sea was thrashing the port with waves that were breaking over the very dock we were to be exiting the ship from! Guess the three zombies were telling me to hold on in days to come!  The Captain’s instruments made the decision for him and we just sailed right on by the port. Oh well, my visions of walking the dock to our bike excursion became ones that might have been…maybe another time!  Once arriving back home all eyes are now on getting ready for an upcoming 68 mile ride.  It will be my longest but expect it to be easily accomplished with the new road bike.
