After a couple weeks off it was back on the saddle with 75 miles this week capped off with the South Lake Trail by Lake Minneola for 36 miles of some hilly terrain. I know hilly terrain and Florida don’t go together but 1,150 ft of total ascent can be classified as hilly! I didn’t suffer from any altitude sickness as I saw an alligator…carved from wood…a chicken crossing the road (no didn’t ask the question)… and whew a great scene of Lake Minneola. Total miles is at 2,914 or about 340 miles west of the Golden Gate Bridge starting at the Statute of Liberty. That leaves me about 2,000 miles of peddling to get to Hawaii.
